Introduction

The AVEC Symposium which was established in Japan
in 1992, is a biennial event and has become one of the major international symposiums in the field of Automotive Control. 11th staging of this event will be held in Seoul Korea, for the first time from 9th to 12th of September, 2012.
The automotive industry is one of the largest industrial sectors in Korea and Korea has rich academic infrastructure with more than seventy colleges in the automotive engineering field.
The main goal of this symposium is to promote and discuss the latest innovations in the automotive control area.
It will be a great opportunity for all the professionals and researchers to share ideas and learn more about the new developments and researches.

Submission of Papers

Extended abstracts must be submitted in English via the conference website: www.ksae.org/avec12
And should describe the problem definition, method and results expected or obtained. Abstracts should clearly set out the main scientific, technical, and/or practical points to be addressed, paying particular attention to those aspects of the work which are new, innovative and unique. This should include figures and tables where appropriate and is limited to 3 A4 pages and 1500 words.
Papers should be original and should not have been presented elsewhere. Abstracts not meeting the requirements above will be refused.

Registration

All delegates, Including those presenting papers, are expected to register for the symposium. Registration includes a CD of the conference proceedings, book of abstracts, attendance at all plenary and technical sessions, refreshments, welcome reception, Gala dinner and technical visits.

Symposium fee $500 before June 30,2012
                              $600 after June 30, 2012

Awards and Journals

Awards will be given based on an evaluation of both the manuscript and oral presentation, judged by the a panel of the international Scientific Committee.
Some selected papers will be published in a special issue of the international of Automotive Technology (www.ijat.net, SCIE indexed)

The symposium will be held at the Coex in Seoul.
