| 초록 | The knuckle strength evaluation in the design stage is done by stress analysis on the knuckle by applying the load acting on each vehicle event at each suspension hard point and applying it. The load transfer is achieved by connecting the knuckle and the hard point with a rigid element. In this study, a new method for strength analysis of knuckle is composed of ball stud of lower arm ball joint, ball stud of tie rod end, bracket of strut/bolt and hub/bolt by finite element model. The influence of the strength of the knuckle caused by contact of these parts when the load was applied was identified. Additionally, Assembly torque effects was investigated on knuckle strength. In this way, this paper propose a method to improve knuckle strength by identifying the root cause of knuckle crack in vehicle test. |
