| 초록 | The objectives of the present study are to clarify the characteristics of ignition and combustion, the knock limit and the misfire limit of a HCCI engine operated by natural gas (NG) premixed with a small amount of dimethyl ether (DME) as an ignition source, and also to obtain complete reductions in NOx and smoke by using the HCCI engine while achieving a higher thermal efficiency than the one in a conventional diesel en-gine. The effect of engine compression ration on the ignition temperatures of low-and high-temperature reac-tions, the misfire and knock limits and the thermal efficiency of the HCCI engine were mainly investigated. |
