| 초록 |
Knee airbag is a kind of advanced kneebolster system which plays an important role in protecting occupants’ lower extremities from vehicle crash and improving occupants’ behavior to minimize their injury. NHTSA recently announced that NCAP rating method will be severely revised and many OEMs will be a difficult situation for getting new NCAP five stars. Nowadays knee airbag is being introduced to car makers and they are also considering applying knee airbag to their vehicle and requesting suppliers to develop optimum knee airbag for their vehicle. This paper will introduce the advantages of blow molded plastic active knee airbag and describe the superiorities of its performance through sled test results. |
