Oxygenated additives for diesel fuels have been seen to be effective in soot reduction in many experimental work. But the opinions about the cause of this efffect is not coinsident. Some researchers think that the oxygen content of the additive is the only factor, others have seen differences in soot reduction with the size and structure of the oxygenate used. This study was modelling to analyze the cause of this reduction in soot and to investigate whether there is a chemical effect behind this cause of this reduction in soot and to investigate whether there is a chemical efffect behind this soot reduction. |
