This study proposes a new stratified charge system for low emission and over lean burn. Combustible mixture. In this study, method of new stratified charge is to use Injector-sparkplug. This system injects fuel of extremely small quantities and ignite mixture around sparkplug gap. Injector-sparkplug was fitted in the visualized constant volume chamber. The combustion characteristics was compared with conventional ignition method and this method. We examined combustion pressure and lean misfiring limit, visualized combustion flame according to equivalence ratio. |
