Road profiling is a means to measure the surface contour of road. The measured road profiles can provide the research organizations with valuable data to perform vehicle testing and computer simulations. Many road profile measuring system have been developed up to the present. As the Dynamic Road Profiling Devices(DRPD), An Accelerometer Established Inertial Profiling Reference(AEIPR) method is to measure the elevation of the road surface to a certain degree of accuracy along the direction of travel at a normal highway speed. |
