In this paper, regenerative braking simulator (REGENSIM) is developed for a hybrid electric vehicle(HEV). In REGENSIM, every powertrain element of the HEV such as I.C engine, motor, battery, CVT and regenerative braking system is moded by a modular approach using AMESim. In addition, control algorithms for the regeerative braking and CVT system are also included. Simulation results show that battery SOC is directly affected by the regenerative braking. It is expected that REGENSIM developed in this study can be used to design the regenerative braking system. |
