초록 Nano composite coatings recently demonstrate excellent mechanical properties in hardness, wear, corrosion resistance, etc. For this reason, various field industries are interested in nanocomposite coatings. In this study, an experimental design was applied in order to find out the optimum processing condition. The important processing parameters selected were current density(A), pH(B), electrolyte temperature(C), and Al2O3 concentration(D). The confirmation experimental result based on the optimal processing condition(A3B3C1D3) through the analysis of variance(ANOVA) showed that the alumina was evenly distributed on the Ni matrix. In addition, the particles were embedded more firmly and finely in the Ni matrix. Based on the EDX interpretation, the composition of alumina was approximately increased up to 8.65 wt%, and the hardness value was increased to approximately 983 Hv. Therefore, Ni-Al2O3 composite coatings showed that there is an increase in the hardness value and the thickness of the coating when the amount of alumina is increased.
