Vehicles with low-gloss and flat colors applied to the car body have been in the market and their importance is increasing in the automotive repair painting sector. When applying glazed color at a repair painting site, color match was carried out based on previous experiences. However, low-gloss and flat colors are relatively new and further work is required in mixing the matting agent during color matching. Therefore, in order to propose a systematic method for low-gloss and flat colors, the specimens were prepared using five colors and five steps of the matting agent ratio. Brightness, color and glossiness were compared. It was found that gloss was reduced as the mixing ratio of the matting agent was increased, while brightness increased at 45 °. Using these results, we can propose a method of controlling the mixing ratio of clear and matting agents. |
