| 초록 | There is a growing demand for alternative fuels to replace traditional fossil fuels, which are at risk of depletion. Among them, bioethanol is attracting attention as an alternative to gasoline. The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of the 1.0 L T-GDI FFV engine when using E30 and E50 fuels under most frequently used operating conditions. Engine test results showed that the stock spark timings were already set to MBTs under lower load conditions of 60 % (amount of air) or less. On the other hand, it was found that the stock spark timings were not set to MBTs under higher load conditions of 80 % to 120 %. By optimizing the ignition timings under these higher load conditions, engine performance has improved significantly. For example, torque and BSFC improved up to 10.8 % and 9.6 %, respectively. The authors anticipate that the results of this research should be used to improve the performance of the FFV engine. |
