초록 The front axle, which acts as a differential in a vehicle, receives a high load, so it generates a lot of noise and vibration. So the role of lubricating oil is important. Lubricating oil is affected by temperature and its properties change. As oil characteristics change, the front axle noise and vibration level also changes. In this paper, The correlation between oil temperature and front axle noise was confirmed, and oil temperature was measured under actual road driving conditions. In addition, a front axle NVH test method considering oil characteristics was established, and whine noise of front axle was improved by modifying roughness of gear surface.
