초록 This paper deals with the design of a deceleration PI controller aimed at battery efficiency through regenerative braking in electric vehicles (EVs). By controlling the motor torque during deceleration, the goal is to improve the efficiency of regenerative braking systems that recover energy and charge the battery. Decelerating the vehicle using motor torque avoids dust production caused by physical braking and significantly extends the lifespan of brake components. Additionally, it enhances battery efficiency through regenerative braking. The study confirms that a PI controller can generate appropriate motor torque based on the vehicle’s deceleration and braking speed. The results suggest that designing a PI controller for motor torque control can lead to improved battery efficiency through regenerative braking.
